چکیده
Ovarian cancer is a common gynecologic aggressive neoplasm. The mortality of ovarian top among malignancies due to the insidious onset, atypical early symptoms, and chemoresistance. Therefore, it urgent seek another promising treatment for cancer. Purified vitexin compound 1 (VB1) kind neolignan from seed traditional Chinese herb vitex negundo that possessed diverse pharmacological effects. VB1 can exhibit anti-neoplastic activities against various cancers. However, role in has not been elaborated, mechanism unknown. aim this study was investigate therapeutic effects cells both vitro vivo , along with molecular action. In VB-1 effectively suppress proliferation, induce apoptosis, block cell cycle at G2/M phase concentration dependent manner cells. Western blot assay showed apoptosis via upregulating expression cleaved-caspase3 through P21. Meanwhile, inhibit tumor growth xenograft mouse model. Our research indicated significantly exert its may represent new class agents therapy.

MicroRNA‐135a‐3p as a promising biomarker and nucleic acid therapeutic agent for ovarian cancer
Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy. Recently, several molecularly targeted anticancer agents have been developed for ovarian cancer; however, its prognosis remains extremely poor. The development of molecularly targeted therapy, as well as companion diagnostics, is required to improve outcomes for patients with ovarian cancer. In this study, to identify microRNAs (miRNAs) ...
متن کاملPurified vitexin compound 1 inhibits growth and angiogenesis through activation of FOXO3a by inactivation of Akt in hepatocellular carcinoma.
Vitexins, isolated from the seeds of the Chinese herb Vitex negundo, is known to exert antitumor activity in cancer xenograft models and cell lines. The aim of the current study was to examine whether the Akt/forkhead box protein O3a (FOXO3a) pathway mediates the biological effects of purified vitexin compound 1 (VB-1) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. The effect of VB-1 on the viability...
متن کاملDisulfiram’s Antineoplastic Effects on Ovarian Cancer
Objective: Aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) enzymatic activity identifies ovarian cancer stem-like cells. We investigated the antineoplastic activity of the ALDH inhibitor Disulfiram on bulk ovarian cancer cells and CD133+/ALDH+ cancer stem-like cells. Study Design: Ovarian cancer cell lines, human ovarian surface epithelial cells, and mesenchymal stem cells were treated with increasing concentrat...
متن کامل3-Deazaneplanocin A is a promising therapeutic agent for ovarian cancer cells.
BACKGROUND Recent studies have shown that 3-deazaneplanocin A (DZNep), a well-known histone methyltransferase inhibitor, disrupts polycomb-repressive complex 2 (PRC2), and induces apoptosis, while inhibiting proliferation and metastasis, in cancer cells, including acute myeloid leukemia, breast cancer and glioblastoma. However, little is known about effects of DZNep on ovarian cancer cells. M...
متن کاملVitamin D as a promising anticancer agent
Presence of vitamin D receptors in noncalcemic tissues and subsequent identification of its involvement in growth factor(s)-mediated cellular function suggested its probable beneficial role in genesis, progression and survival of cancerous growths. Data collected from both in vitro and in vivo studies are highly optimistic regarding its potential in prevention and regression of colorectal, pros...
